Education Policy Support deals with reports to the Vice-Chancellor and their distribution to colleagues in divisions and departments. It also deals with general queries and advice concerning external examining and quality assurance, and the authorisation of fees for external examiners. You will be requested to complete your report via an online survey and will receive an email with access details. Guidelines for external examiners are available to download below, along with the expenses claims form.
The section liaises closely with the Examinations Team who deal with the appointment of examiners and fee administration. Once your appointment as an External Examiner is confirmed by the University, the Examiner Appointments Team will email you a username and password to allow you access to the restricted Examiner Appointments portal, from which you can view the list of examinations you will be examining.
