Oxford University Careers Service offers tailored support to all students of Oxford University who identify as having a disability, neurodiverse condition or long-term health conditions. Its role is to provide information, guidance and advice and practical experience by securing internships and employment.

To achieve this, it has dedicated careers advisers who deliver:
1:1 appointments specifically for disabled students that can be self-booked via CareerConnect. These can be made available via Skype, phone or in the student’s college or department if preferred.
guidance and advice will be provided, from the impact of individual circumstances on career choice, to whether, when and how they might choose to share/disclose information about their disability to employers.
how to account for any gaps in academic study or for limited experience.
pre-Fair ‘disability@’ sessions held in Oxford which includes early access to meet recruiters.
termly bespoke sessions, workshops and events where we collaborate with disability organisations, such as EmployAbility and Blind in Business.
proactively seek out opportunities to raise awareness of the diversity of students in Oxford University to develop mentoring, internships and skills development.
