There are now time limits within which a board may approve reinstatement for postgraduate research students. Applications for reinstatement outside these limites must be passed to Education Committee via edcapplications@admin.ox.ac.uk.
For students who withdraw before submitted their thesis for the first time, the board may approve reinstatement if the student has spent fewer than the maximum number of terms on the register and no more than twenty four months have passed since withdrawal.
For students who withdraw after attending their viva, the time limit within which the board may approve reinstatement is dependent on the examination outcome.
